Salmon has a strong flavor and the mild flavor of the vegetables would just muddy it, not bring out the best in it. Although you could conceivably add dill and/or asparagus, two classic salmon companions and see what happens. There are always surprises to discover when you experiment.

As for moisture, salmon has more fat and doesn't dry out as easily, so you can use more heat on the outside to develop more interesting flavors. And salmon is good rare in the middle, so you don't need it cooked all the way through like the white fish, which is what that blanket of moist vegetables provides.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07441435909838565635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6919669035402552575.post-30873713185655027952008-12-29T23:24:00.000-08:002008-12-29T23:24:00.000-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Devidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01493766126599626247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6919669035402552575.post-26181190820113841922008-12-28T23:11:00.000-08:002008-12-28T23:11:00.000-08:00Sounds TastyMerry Christmas to you (and pass it al...Sounds Tasty

Merry Christmas to you (and pass it along to the rest of the Family)

Lewis is down at the Mountain, all is quiet here in Queens (well, short of my leg, and a kidney stone)

Charlie & MaryKG2Vhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13350584786062942799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6919669035402552575.post-16174358824496968622008-12-28T18:57:00.000-08:002008-12-28T18:57:00.000-08:00Cliff, Your recipe was glorious, tasteful. Maybe I will see if I can find out what Julia would say about salmon since you invoke her recipe for tilapia. Thanks for a wonderful fish dish.
fredUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01445352423655747714noreply@blogger.com
